Project Location(s):

Bad River Watershed, Northern WI

Bad River Watershed Association (BRWA) and partners are replacing two poorly performing culverts to restore 1.5 miles of upstream fish passage and improve in-stream habitat in the Bad River watershed.  This project expands upon the BRWA’s Culvert Program, which has restored 12 sites and re-connected 17.5 stream miles to date. Like previous efforts under the program, the new project is improving aquatic connectivity, improving spawning habitat for many fish species, helping prevent bank erosion, and reducing sediment loading to streams.
