The Macomb County Public Works Office restored 10 miles of connectivity and improve habitat for fish and other aquatic organisms on the North Branch Clinton River. Log vanes and wood toe protection were used to stabilize approximately 225 feet of bank in over-widened areas. River banks were stabilized with native seed mixes, biodegradable coir erosion control blankets, and coir rolls/straw wattles. This work contributed to northern pike, smallmouth bass, walleye and many other fish species.
