The Friends of the Detroit River restored habitat along Frank and Poet Creek, a tributary to the Detroit River. The project was designed to convert an area of turf grass into an upland prairie buffer and restore emergent wetlands in the stream course.  A total of 2 acres of wetlands were restored. The project also restored and enhanced instream fish habitat.  The site was chosen for its visibility and potential to educate the public of the importance of such habitat restoration efforts.
