Project Location:  St. Joseph, Branch, and Hillsdale Counties in Michigan and Elkhart, LaGrange, Steuben, and Noble Counties in Indiana 
 
Project Description:  Blue Heron Ministries and many conservation partners will establish a roving field crew that will restore and enhance at least 641 acres in portions of southern Michigan and northern Indiana.  The field crew will be trained in herbicide application and mechanical control of invasive species, prescribed burning, and collection and sowing of native seed.  The crew will implement these techniques at properties owned by nine conservation partners within the project area.  Through this work, the field crew will restore and enhance globally significant fens, bogs, and sedge meadows that provide habitat for many state and federally listed species.
